Bond paper to board with confidence

A practical, step-by-step course on mounting paper to board for large-scale oil and cold wax painting, designed to help you create stable, professional surfaces as your work grows in scale.

What will be covered?

  • You’ll learn a studio-tested method for mounting paper to board, creating stable, professional surfaces that allow you to scale up your work.

  • The course demonstrates the full process on a one-metre-by-one-metre panel, giving a realistic view of working at a larger scale.

  • You’ll learn practical techniques for applying adhesive, smoothing out air pockets, and ensuring a secure bond between paper and board.

  • Along the way, I share tips and shortcuts from years of experience, helping you avoid common mistakes and streamline your workflow.

  • By the end of this course, you’ll have a repeatable method for preparing large-format supports that preserve the qualities of Arches Huile paper.
